Unlike so many antique dealers on here when we say all original we
honestly mean it. This pre-war set of chairs has the original finish
done to look like Rosewood on the hand carved solid mahogany.
Then, very small amounts of gold gilding was applied sparingly
to help accent the carvings and to give the set that Chinese
Chippendale look so popular 70-80 years ago. Adding to
that theme is the all original fabric which is holding up
well and might even look better with a professional
steam cleaning. Their are no rips or tears, and no
sags in the still firm springs.Whether in your
parlor or boudoir, or even in the hall paired
with a table like we have them, this set is
an amazing find in great condition.
